- Mechanisms of complexing reactions, detail analysis of the course of inorganic reactions
- Syllabus
- 1. Reactions in solution, influence of kinetic and activation parameters, classification of reaction types. 2. Reactions leading to increasing or decreasing of coordination number, changes in geometry, intramolecular rearrangement, redox reactions, chain and oscillating reactions. 3. Substitution reactions, bond formation and destruction, molecularity of substitutional processes, coordination number and substitutional mechanism, one-electron transfer reactions. 4. Substitution on two-, three, four-, and five-coordinated central atom. Stereochemical effects in course of substitution, trans-effect. 5. Substitution in octahedral complexes. 6. Stereochemical exchange of ligands, rotation, pseudorotation, izomerization, rearrangements. 7. Substitution reactions of carbonyls and similar compounds. 8. Influence of solvent and complex formation, kinetic parameters of solvent exchange, complex forming mechanisms. 9. Solvation, salting-out, influence of ions, micelle formation, microemulsions, gels. 10. Redox reactions, state description, single mechanisms (1st part). 11. Redox reactions, state description, single mechanisms (2nd part). 12. Activation, addition, insertion and migration in complexes. 13. Oxidative reactions and reductive elimination, elimination, homogenous catalysis. 14. Conclusion, discussion.
