- Course objectives
- Analysis of water, soils and biological materials. Practical decomposition and determination of analytes.
- Syllabus
- 1. Water analysis. Determination of pH, CHSKMn, ZNK, KNK. 2. Determination of chlorides, sulphates and phosphates. 3. Determination of calcium and magnesium, nitrites and fluorides. 4. Determination of arsenic by HGAAS and mercury by CVAAS. 5. Analysis of soils. Decomposition of samples, determination of SiO2. 6. Analysis of soils - determination of phosphorus. 7. Analysis of biological materials. Low temperature dry ashing - determination of calcium. 8. High temperature dry ashing - determination of chromium. 9. Wet ashing at normal pressure - determination of zinc in hair. 10. High pressure digestion - determination of calcium in milk.
