- Course objectives
- 1. Molecule as a system of electric charges. Properties of molecules conditioned by constant and variable electron density. 2. Dielectrics in an electric field. 3. Dipole moments (DM) and structure of molecules; measurements and calculations of DM. 4. Dielectric properties of liquids, crystals and colloid systems. 5. Intermolecular interactions. 6. Dielectric loss, relaxation time, kinetic theory of dielectric relaxation. 7. Optical effects caused by interaction of molecules with electromagnetic radiation. 8. Adsorption of molecules on interfaces, effect of electric field. 9. Complexes with proton or ion transfer. 10. Charge transfer complexes.
