- Prerequisites
- Differential and integral calculus in several variables.
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The seminar will cover selected mathematical models and modeling technics, mainly from the field of economics and/or social science. Correspondences between classical differential equations models, system dynamics (in the sense of Sterman) and "agent-based" models will be discussed. Themes will originate in fields of macroeconomy, advertising models, spreading of infections (medical or mental).
- Syllabus
- Deterministic dynamical models - phase variables, transient equations, constraints. System dynamics - accumulations and flows. Agent-based models. Selected models.
