Course objectives
Insect pollinators and their importance in production of seeds and fruits. Species of Apoidea suitable for their deliberate use in plant breeding and agricultural production - their biology and management based on the physiological background (Megachile rotundata, Rhophitoides canus, other solitary bees, bumble bees and stingless bees). Origin of honeybee, anatomy and morphology, casts, reproduction, breeding of queen bees, genetics and brood rearing, nutrition and feeding of honeybees, physiology of digestion, energy economy, haemolymph, development of castes, mutual relationships, hormonal regulation of functions, instincts, information, pheromones, illnesses, products of honeybees.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Přednáška s praktickými demonstracemi a exkursí. Výuka může probíhat v blocích jednou za 3 týdny se střídáním s předměty přednášenými externisty. Podle možností bude zařezen blok expertů z jiných pracovišť - není uvedeno v sylabu.
