- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to introduce to students the burial rites as a sociocultural phenomenon; show the variability of this phenomenon in the wide extent of the paradigm. At the end of this course the student should be able to explain the differences and specifics in burial rites according to social status; age; ethnicity; explain burials outside burial sites and graveyards; during war; describe antivampyric precautions; human sacrifices; grave robbing.

- Assessment methods
- Lectures. Exam - on condition of handing in a written task (translation for English, essay on agreed topic etc.). The exam consists of a written test and a discussion.
