- Course objectives
- Projective geometry of conics. The student should be able to solve problems of conic sections bz using methods of projective geometry.
- Syllabus
- Cross ratio; Pappus'theorem; complete quadrangle and quadrilateral. Projectivity. Involution. Projective properties of conis sections. Pascal's and Brianchon's theorems. Polar system of conics. Pencil and range of conics. Constructions of conics; centre, diameter, asymptotes, axes and foci. Ellipse, parabola, hyperbola. Projective collineation between conic and circle.
