Course objectives
The course is practice-oriented and the aim is to provide students with necessary knowledge and user skills connected to the basic usage of personal computer in practical and academical experience. The course focuses on application software tools involving their installation and running in a computer network and creates a basis for further studies of particular special courses.
Syllabus
  • Standard usage of operating system Windows and its working environment Work in local area network including usage of electronic mail Common procedures and exploitation of Internet services including searching Text document: creation, editing, basics of computer typography and work with common graphic elements in document Work with spreadsheet program, creation of graphs Presentation programs, creation of a presentations Basics of work in vector and bitmap oriented graphic environment Basic insight into HTML, export into WWW page Basics of work with databases (e.g. Access)
