Course objectives
This course continues the course Bi6120 Plant Explants, in which students obtained basic knowledge about various methods of in vitro culture. Student will acquire knowledge about biotechnological applications of these methods to obtain natural products available for pharmaceutical use; food and cosmetic purposes, agriculture or remediation. Part of the course will be focused on GM plants with resistance to pests, diseases or adverse external influences. Elicitation, encapsulation and cryopreservation will be tested.
