Course objectives
The course is focused on conflict regions in contemporary world. Students will be introduced to theoretical framework of the topic (conflicts, conflict circle, conflict resolution, conflict prevention, consequences). During the course students will be taught how to classify and characterize different conflicts (sides of a dispute, attitudes of international community, overview of initiatives for solution made up to now, circumstances restraining the resolution of a conflict, proposed strategy leading to a settlement) and acquire general perspective about the most important conflict areas in contemporary world.
