- Physical Geography (programme PřF, N-GK)
- Geography (programme PřF, B-GK, specialization Physical Geography)
- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to make an introduction into regionalization of surface and ground waters. It provides information on spatial and temporal differences in hydrosphere that are conditioned mostly by climatic differences, terrain, hydro-geologic conditions, etc. The lecture is also devoted to regional hydrology of continents and oceans, and selected hydrologic events and processes.
- Syllabus
- Principles and methods of regionalization of surface and ground waters in the Czech Republic and abroad. Presentation of selected hydrological, hydrogeological and water-management regionalizations. Classification of water on the Earth, drainage characteristics. Hydrologic regions of Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Africa, North and Central America, South America. Oceans.
