Syllabus in brief:
Lectures will address detailed review of the current knowledge of environmental fate and ecotoxicology of selected priority aquatic contaminants including example case studies:
1) Triclosan - an antibacterial and antifungal agent with widespread use and occurrence in the environment and various biological activities
2) Glyphosate - an active ingredient of RoundUp, which is one of the most commonly used herbicides wordlwide
3) Selenium - an essencial microelement which may, however, have broad toxicity and ecotoxicity impacts on biota - Language of instruction
