- The objective of professional excursions is to provide the students of microbiology larger view and practical experience with workplaces, which use microbiological and molecular biotechnology methods in the working processes. The students will visit following institutions and companies during the four-days tour: (i) laboratories with high level of safety at the Veterinary Research Institute and the water treatment plant at the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno, (ii) training centre, R&D laboratories and production plant in the biotechnology company Bioveta, (iii) production platforms in the Brewery Starobrno, and (iv) R&D laboratories and production plant in the biotechnology company Contipro in Dolni Dobrouc.
