Main objectives:
- Assessment of genetic variation
- Hardy-Weiberg principle in idealized populations and its application
- Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for special cases of random mating
- Assortative mating
- Inbreeding
- Random genetic drift
- Migration, Mutation and Natural selection

  • 1. Trial establishment with genetic model organism Drosophila melanogaster.
  • 2. Quantitative assessment of genetic variability.
  • 3. Hardy-Weinberg principle.
  • 4. Validity od the H.-W. principle in gonochoristic population.
  • 5. Linkage and linkage disequilibrium.
  • 6. Linkage equilibrium.
  • 7. Assortative mating.
  • 8. Inbreeding.
  • 9. Random genetic drift.
  • 10. Effective population size.
  • 11. Mutations, Migration and Natural selection.
