- Course objectives
- This course is conceived as a complement to the courses Inroduction to the physics of the microworld F4100 or F4050. It aims at a deeper analysis and/or extension of selected topics. Two basic areas are covered: atomic and particle structure of matter; relativistic and quantum phenomena in the microworld.

- Final list of topics depends also on the attendant's choice: 1. Brown motion. Finding Avogadro's number. Stochastic phenomena 2. Charged particle optics. From Hamilton's analogy to the electron lithography 3. Synchrotron radiation. Relativistic electron. Photoemission 1905 and 2005 4. Molecular beams. Diffraction of atoms and moleculs 5. Applied graph theory. Structure of moleculs, topological defects 6. Molecular vibrations. Group theory. The green-house molecules 7. Neutron interferometry. Schrödinger's cat 8. Quantum interferometry. Aharonov - Bohm effect 9. Quantum tunneling. Inversion lines of ammonia, maser and atomic clocks 10. Ionic a atomic traps. From one atom to Bose-Einstein condensation
