- Course objectives
- To provide a complex information about anthropogenic contamination of the atmosphere, its consequences, about diffusion processes of pollutants and about pollutants concentration forecasting by different types of sources
- Syllabus
- Economic activity of human society and its consequences for the atmosphere (fundamental natural and anthropogenic atmospheric pollutants), their transformations in the atmosphere - primary and secundary pollutants, smogs), their influences on nature, human community and human activity. Local and glogal consequences of air pollution (climate of towns, greenhaus effect, acid rain, ozone depletion). Atmospheric impacts on pollutants (different scale of turbulent diffusion, circulation systems). Forecasts of dangerous concentrations of pollutants. Measurements of air pollutants (methods, sensors, AIM). Reduction of pollutants concentration, renovable energy sources. Computation of imissions of different sources (point, linear, area, volume).
