- Course objectives
- The main objective of this course is to practically study with use of anatomical preparations and visually fix the knowledge learned by the students within the course Anatomy for anthropologists II.; Human anatomy in the scope of Faculty of Medicine. The classes are given at the Department of Anthropology, partly in the facilities of the Faculty of Medicine (with kind permission of the Head of the Department of Anatomy Prof. RNDr. Petr Dubový, CSc.). At the end of this course the students should be able to understand the anatomy of the system of internal organs of man, adequate for anthropologists; the students should be able define and list its components; to explain function of the systems of internal organs of the human body (splanchnology) and use this knowledge in anthropological studies and research; such proficiency is essential for a study in any area of the knowledge of man;

- Teaching methods
- The tuition is practical, using anatomical preparations, presence is mandatory, the students come to every class prepared for the content practically studied in that class, according to previous lecture. The preparedness for class is checked via a short test in the beginning of each class.
- Assessment methods
- The course is concluded with credit. Credit is awarded if the students gains at least 6 points in each 10-point test; there are two of these credit tests, one mid-semester and another at the end of the course. The tests are multiple-choice, one possible correct answer. Further, at the beginning of each practical training an entry test is given (multiple choice, written answers, illustration labelling) credited with maximum 6 points. To gain credit at the end of the semester 70 % of possible points must be attained.
