An orientation in mineralogy, corresponding to the successful completion of basic courses in mineralogy and petrography within the Bachelor's degree of geological disciplines is expected for students enrolled in course G7411 meteorites, tektites and impact structure. It is also expected an interest in the discipline. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- Successful graduates will receive an overview of the basic terms in the field lectured, students also can broaden their knowledges in this attractive discipline and will be able to obtain an overview of the current state of research. Also they could acquire to see selected samples of meteorites, tektites and impact glass and rocks.

- essential terminology: meteor, meteorite, meteoroid, swarm, IDP, asteroid, impact structure, tectite, impact melt, breccia, shock metamorphoses - an examples of impact structures in the Earth and outside of the Earth -an examples of impact rocks, meteorites and tectites - an overview of interesting falls from our country and worldwide
