Course objectives
The course is devoted mainly for students of the teacher study of biology and geography. It follows the main goal to present them the elements of geology and paleontology.

  • Geology: division,research subject,importance & Earth's position in the Universe, differentiation and internal structure of the Earth & Geotectonic units & Geotectonic hypotheses & Endogenous dynamics & Structural geology & Exogenetic processes & Geological maps and profiles & Paleontology:division,subject of study, importance & Fossils and fossilization & Stratigraphy & Systematic paleontology-brief summary & Precambrian, Palaeozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic - principal characteristics & Position of Czech Republic in the geologic structures of Europe & Geology of the Bohemian Massif and Western Carpathians
