- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students should be able to: work aseptically, to inoculate and cultivate bacteria, to prepare stained and native microscopic slides, to determine number of bacteria in different samples, to determine indicators of microbial water quality, to use some basic identification methods.

isolate, cultivate and identify microscopic fungi;
apply methods of strains preservation. - Syllabus
- Structure of the fungal thallus, microscopic examination of specimens, germ-tube test, cultivation and determination of micromycetes, growth and morphology changes at various sources and substrates, fermentation and assimilation of carbon compounds, chromogenic methods for rapid identification, mycotoxins of microscopic fungi, demonstration of the most frequent species.
