Course objectives
Bioclimate as a specific category of climate - result and developed by mutual influence of atmosphere and living organisms. Bioclimates of vegetated surfaces and animals, human bioclimatology
Syllabus
  • Energy basis of bioclimate, energy and gas exchange between living organisms and atmosphere; influence of meteorological elements on living organisms (radiation, heat fluxes, air temperature and humidity, air flow). Bioclimate of characteristic plant communities inc. forest climate. Climate of animals, energy attributes, influences on animals and their defence mechanisms. Human bioclimate, human sensors of atmospheric quality, influence of atmosphere on human body, reactions. Atmospheric radiation, temperature, dynamic and chemical complexies and their influence on human organism, meteorotropic and climatotropic diseases. Agrometeorology and agrometeorological prognoses of: condition, development, meteorological danger, meteorotropic diseases and pests, crop prognosis. Prognosis in human meteorology and climatology.
