Course objectives
Lecture is focused on biochemical, immunological, physiological and molecular interactions of parasitic protozoans and helminths and their hosts on the level of tissues, cells and molecular.
Syllabus
  • Lecture is devoted to characterization of infection of both vertebrate and intertebrate hosts with parasitic protozoans and helminths, including transmission and developmental aspects. Biochemical, immunological, physiological and molecular interactions of parasitic protozoans and helminths and their hosts on the level of tissues, cells and molecular will be presented and demonstrated. (mechanisms of recognition and transmission, regulation during parasite ontogenetic development, hormonal interaction between parasite and host, intracellular parasitism, diagnostics, therapy and vaccination.
