Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.

The capacity limit for the course is 17 student(s).
Current registration and enrolment status: enrolled: 0/17, only registered: 0/17
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
Students will be able consider the sutiable technique for observing microscopic and macroscopic characteristics of bacteria and their morphological diversity (including the cell morphology of particular bacterial species depending on cultivating media) and observing structures of bacterial cells (endospores, inclusions, flagellum). Student will be able consider the applicability of particular methods for clinical, environmental and biotechnological practice. Student will be able of preparing of variable stained and native microscopic slides, will be able operate variable microscopical techniques (phase and Nomarsky contrast, bright field microscopy) and handle with images acquired by CCD camera, photographic camera and analyse them (image acquisition - NIS - elements).
Learning outcomes
The output of the subject are protocols containing the images of the microscopic preparations (gram staining, structural dyeing, slide cultures, fluorescence) obtained by the research microscope through image processing.
