- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: understand and explain the causes of possible geological hazards, their risks in the world generally and in the Central Europe definitely.
- Learning outcomes
- Student, after finishing of the course, will be able to idenify the geological hazards.
- Syllabus
- a) Volcanism and its risks, possibilities if its forecasting
- b) Earthquake activity, its measurement and forecasting. Neotectonics. Underground nuclear explosions.
- c) Landslides, rocky destruction.
- d) Floods, influence of the climate and human activities on floods.
- e) Dust devil.
- f) Old minig activities, underground hazard, methane hazard.
- g) Radon hazard, natural radioactivity of rocks.
- h) Impacts of extraterrestrial bodies.
