Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basics of solid-waste management technologies, basics of remediation technologies, and selected preventive tools of environmental protection.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand the environmental impact of anthropogenic technologies
- describe the main types of technologies that affect the environment
- understand the main technological principles of solid waste management

- characterize and discuss the principles of the best available techniques and best environmental practices and also the disposal of the persistent substances and waste with their contents
- know the methods applicable for the remediation of contaminated soils and sediments
