Course objectives
Describe basic components of plant cells, their development and function. Understand basic functional mechanisms of plant cells at the molecular level.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course, students will - understand the structure and composition of the plant cell. - understand functions of individual components and in the context with other parts of the cell. - be able to describe the process of origin and development of individual components as well as the whole cell. - be able to explain basic methods of plant cell research.

Lectures and class discussion of questions.
Assessment methods
Evaluation includes two parts. Essay writing on given topics from the course (30%). An oral examination from a set of course topics.
