- At the end of this course, students should be able to understand common chemical calculations in chemistry, practically utilize chemical equations a corretly use inorganic nomenclature.
- Syllabus
- Basic chemical laws.
- Atom, its composition, mol.
- Stoichiometric calculations.
- Concentration units a their conversions.
- Acidity and basicity of solutions, pH.
- Solubility product.
- Chemical equilibrium.
- Calculations in electrochemistry.
- Chemical equation editing.
- Inorganic compounds - nomenclature.

- Teaching methods
- Sample exercises are elaborated and discussed within the seminar.
- Assessment methods
- Students must score at least 60 percent on 10 in-term tests. Otherwise, they have to score at least 60 percent on the final test covering the whole syllabus.
