- Course objectives
- Getting an overview of subjects of geodesy. Acquaintance with basic principles, methods and processing of geodetic measurements. GNSS is increasingly becoming one of the dominant tools in serveyor repertoire. Theoretical principles GNSS are presented.
- Learning outcomes
- Studen will be able to :
- be oriented in basic surveying at the level of lower geodesy
- control geodetic devices
- suggest methods suitable for mapping of different topics
- process and visualize measured data
- have basic knowledge about the real estate cadastre agenda
- have an overview of GNSS satellite navigation systems
- orientate and use GNSS recievers - Syllabus
- 1. History of geodetic networks in the Czech republic, control points, benchmarks, coordinate systems, cartographic projections, legislation 2. Angle and azimut measurements, instruments (theodolites, total stations, equipment) 3. Methods for determining differences in elevation (methods, levelling instruments) 4. Methods and instruments for measuring distance 5. Detailed measurements, tacheometry, polar and orthogonal methods, EDM 6. Mapping (field notes, map elements and symbols, type of maps),new method of surveying 7. Cadastre, new method of surveying 8. GNSS – overview and theoretical principles of operation 9. Segments of system, code ranging and carrier phase-shift measurements, time 10. GNSS methods (point positioning, differential positioning, relative positioning) 11. Receivers and software for post processing 12. Applications (tourists and outdoors, navigation, geodesy and surveying, military, aviation, GIS ..) 13. - Teaching methods
- The theoretical part is a form of lectures, exercises are practical in the field, where the measurement takes place and the results are processed.
- Assessment methods
- Completion is a form of oral exam where the student demonstrates the knowledge of the lectures, the prerequisite for admission to the exam is the processing and submission of given exercises, which influence the assessment.
- Language of instruction
- Czech
- Further comments (probably available only in Czech)
- Study Materials
The course is taught annually.
