- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental concepts of linear algebra and multivariable calculus.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course a student will the basic concepts and problems of linear algebra and multivariable calculus.
- Syllabus
- Linear algebra
- 1. Vectors and matrices, linear (in)dependence. Gaussian elimination. Rank of the matrix.
- 2. Matrix multiplication, transformations, inverses.
- 3. Least squares methods, determinants.
- Multivariable calculus
- 4. Multivariable functions, partial derivatives.
- 5. Extremes of the functions of two variables, least squares.
- 6. Multivariable integrals, coordinate transformations.
