- Course objectives
- This online course is designed for anyone interested in science and graphic design who wants to learn how to visualize research data effectively. Whether you are a student, a teacher, or simply someone interested in science, this course is designed to expand your skills and understanding of science communication. The course focuses on creating images for scholarly articles, theses, and educational materials. The theoretical knowledge and practical experience acquired is applicable to the preparation of scientific and educational presentations. You will learn how to create your own scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, experimental diagrams and attractive presentations using freely available applications such as Inkscape, BioRender and PowerPoint. The goal of the course is to help everyone improve proficiency and graphic proficiency in scientific communication. The course includes three case studies that allow you to practically apply the skills you have learned to projects ideally directly related to your field of research and education. Join us on a creative journey to discover how scientific illustration can be both fun and beneficial to your future career.
