- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is to complete information on institutions where social and regional geography graduates can use their knowledge gained in bachelor and master studies at Institute of geography of Masaryk University.
- Learning outcomes
- Student completing the course will be able to:
- appoint institutions that operate in the field of human geography and employ graduates of this field;
- describe the specific activity of human geography graduates in practice;
- give examples of real geographic projects. - Syllabus
- Social and regional geography and its application in universities. Geography and Academy of Science of the Czech Republic. Geographical knowledge in resort research. Use of knowledge in regional development offices of particular regions. Geographers and municipal offices. Use of geographical knowledge in regional agencies. Geography graduates and consulting companies. During seminar students will discuss with graduates and Ph.D. students working in the above-mentioned institutions.

- Presentations of specialists active in scientific sphere and professionals from apllied geography, including project advisors. The course follows the seminar 1.
