- identify economic geography theories relevant to the topic of their dissertation;
- critically evaluate the contributions of selected economic geography theories;
- identify methods and techniques of economic geography relevant to the dissertation topic. - Syllabus
- At the first meeting between the teachers and students, the students will present how the topic of their dissertation is connected to economic geography (theories, concepts, themes/subthemes) in the form of a presentation. Additionally, they will present 10 terms from the dictionary of human geography that relate to their dissertation and, ideally, to economic geography as well. Subsequently, the students will be assigned relevant academic literature and strategic documents to read, which will then be critically interpreted in the form of discussions with the instructors and, if applicable, with experts from practice in subsequent meetings.
