The aim of the course is a basic introduction to the mechanisms of automated cartographic generalization.
Syllabus
  • 1. Automated cartographic generalization model 2. The concept of algorithmization of generalization operators 3. Basic geometric processing for generalization purposes 4. Generalization tools in ArcGIS Pro 5. Rules and constraints 6. Generalization of topographic maps 7. Generalization of thematic maps
