In this part of interactive atlas you can study an unique images of human fetus from very early prenatal development. The images are acquired thanks to the special virtual microscope enabling scanning of the large specimens with the high-level resolution.
The result of this scanning is a digital image called „virtual slide image“. This digital image contains the entire specimen that would not be normally viewable using only the light microscope. The next advantage of this virtual slide is continous rapid enlargement and reduction of all portions of images in high-level quality thanks to the software supplied by a producer, also the movement in the virtual image is very fast. The only disadvantage of these images is its date size.
In the images publicated in this atlas we have chosen four variant magnifications for you, our readers, to consider a quality of these virtual images. Digital images are briefly labeled in the distinct image magnifications so the selected important structures do not pass your attention.
Be studying, looking, comparing, admiring… and if you reveal whatever interesting I have not noticed, you may contact me, I will appreciate it…
