4 Závěr

Jak je z tohoto materiálu zřejmé, je v současnosti naprostou nezbytností pečlivá evaluace kvality publikací od příslušného vydavatele. Schopnost rozpoznat pochybné časopisy se postupně stává samozřejmou součástí publikačního procesu, při němž autoři před odevzdáním článku musejí zvážit, zdali vydavatel svými publikacemi nenaplňuje kritéria pochybných publikací. Při výběru časopisu autoři musejí dbát na transparentnost všech zásadních údajů, jako jsou kontaktní údaje, jasně stanovená finanční politika vydavatele, ověřitelnost odbornosti členů redakční rady, jasně stanovený průběh peer review (recenzního řízení), proklamace pouze relevantních citačních metrik apod. Zároveň ale nesmějí zůstat jen u prosté kontroly formálních kritérií, ale nutně se musejí zabývat i odbornou kvalitou časopisu a zajímat se celkově o fungování časopisu.
