1. INTRODUCTION TO INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY:

The term Intellectual disability is used to describe conditions which can be significantly different from each other. Two people who are labeled as having intellectual disability are never the same. Their way of communication, behavior, social skills, cognition, etc. may be significantly different. Generally speaking, intellectual disability is a condition characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior, which covers many everyday social and practical skills used in everyday situations. This condition should originate before the age of 18. However, the age limit may differ and other definitions use the age of two or four.
