Aims of the chapter - What will you learn? To understand the basic concepts of hearing impairment and describe the process of hearing, to be able to define and compare different types of hearing impairments, to describe the main features of hearing loss categories and to recognize different factors leading to hearing loss, to transfer the knowledge about tips for communication and classroom adaptation into practical use in classroom settings
