- Parts of the final state examination and its contentMaster’s studies in Classical Archaeology (specialisation) are intended to develop the students’ theoretical and methodological knowledge and cultivate their analytical skills within the studied discipline. Students will also become well versed in current archaeology, key scholarly topics and approaches. They will deepen their knowledge about cultural spheres of crucial importance to classical archaeological studies (Ancient Greece and Rome) but also about the preceding (Aegean civilisations) and subsequent (Late Antiquity and Byzantine Era) periods of time.
Questions of the state exam will address following areas:
1. Archaeological theory and evolution of the paradigm
2. Archaeological method and examples of its application
3. Archaeology of Ancient Greece
4. Archaeology of Ancient Rome
