  • Parts of the final state examination and its content
    The Final State Examination in Pedagogy and Psychology is an aptitude test in which the student demonstrates their knowledge of basic pedagogical and psychological disciplines, connecting the knowledge, integrating it in theoretical contexts and deriving practical implications. The student prepares for the examination by studying specified areas supplemented with professional publications (including the results of pedagogical and psychological research) and student portfolio (preparation for lessons, video recordings, written self-reflection, seminar work, portfolio assignments, etc.). Emphasis is placed on the way the student critically evaluates knowledge, synthesizes it, and relates it to their own existing pedagogical experience and to dealing with pedagogical-psychological problems in teaching practice. The examination in pedagogy and psychology is evaluated with one grade.

    The Final State Examination in Health Education with Didactics consists of a biomedical part, a social science part and a didactic part. In the biomedical part and the social science part, the student draws thematic areas and answers the sub-questions listed in the chosen areas. The thematic areas of the Final State Examination in Health Education are published on the website of the Department of Physical Education and Health Education.

    In didactics, it is important for the student to combine knowledge obtained by studying professional literature with their existing pedagogical experience, to be able to critically evaluate both and use it to formulate their own approach to dealing with didactic issues. The student’s didactic readiness is demonstrated by defending a didactic project. The topic of the project is chosen by the student from the educational content of the educational area Man and Health for the field of Health Education in the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education. The student considers didactic transformation of the topic and outlines its specific implementation in the teaching process.

    The Final State Examination is evaluated with two grades: one in Pedagogy and Psychology and one in Health Education with Didactics. The assessment is based on a set of criteria that students are familiar with.
