Informace o studiu
- Státní doktorská zkouška a obhajoba disertační práceAt the state doctoral examination, the student proves that he / she has mastered in depth the issues of social geography and regional development, including appropriate techniques and skills. The aim is to examine both the knowledge level and the ability to actively solve the problem, including their comprehensive understanding and application of appropriate methods of analysis and synthesis. The student can register for the state doctoral examination at the earliest after fulfilling the ISP requirements, but at the latest in the 5th semester. Part of the State Doctoral Examination is the defense of the dissertation thesis by a special opponent.
The oral exam includes three test areas:
- General social geography and regional development (components, processes, phenomena, holistic understanding of socio-geographical sphere)
- Methods of socio-geographical research (data acquisition and evaluation, methods of their processing)
- The area from which the dissertation is presented (methodology, knowledge, regional aspects, perspectives, scenarios, impacts) - Studijní a výzkumné povinnosti- Preparation of the dissertation ground materials - takes place throughout the study and is based on the publication activity described below (min. 10% of the workload)
- Publishing activities and dissertation work - consists of at least three accepted scientific articles or applied methodological / software outputs. In the case of scientific publications, this is at least one first-class impact article (in the Web of Science database), another first-author article (at least in the Scopus or Web of Science database) and another co-authored reviewed article. Publishing activity is a base for the dissertation work (60% of the workload).
- Educational activity (participation in teaching) - the doctoral student participates in teaching by leading exercises / seminars, field courses, selected lecture or preparation of study materials in the first 4 semesters. An integral part of the development of pedagogical experience of a doctoral student is consultation, or. assessment of undergraduate work. Less than 150 hours in the first 4 semesters (max. 5% of workload)
- Thesis defense - must be completed by the 6th semester at the latest
- Foreign internship - must be completed in min. 2 months for the duration of study or to participate actively in an international project for at least 2 years (min. 5% of workload)
- Participation in the conference - active participation in min. two international conferences, of which at least one form of a lecture, the second one a poster
Specialized subjects (max. 20% of workload):
- Basics of scientific work and preparation of a scientific publication in social geography and regional development
Furthermore, 2 of the 6 sociogeographical areas listed below are completed by the exam:
