Study-related information

  • Parts of the final state examination and its content
    The Master’s final state examination includes two subjects: (i) Advanced biochemistry and its methods and (ii) Cellular technologies. Students will be required to demonstrate a deep understanding of the fields, utilizing the knowledge obtained in the compulsory courses. Another part of the examination is the Thesis defense, which will show the student’s experimental skills and the ability to use the information obtained in the theoretical coursework.
  • Requirements of the study
    Students must:
    complete all the compulsory courses;
    obtain at least 120 ECTS credits;
    prepare Master’s thesis on the assigned topic;
    successfully finish all parts of the final state examination.
  • Suggestion of theses topics and the topics of defended theses
    Development and comparison of electroanalytical and electrochemiluminescence techniques for detection of tumor biomarkers
    Diagnostic and therapeutic targets in metastatic colorectal carcinoma
    Editing of plant genomes with CRISPR/Cas9 technology
    New nanoparticle system for the detection of cancer markers in Western Blots
    Structure function study of lectins from pathogens
    Substrate specificity of hyaluronidase TsHr towards derivatives of hyaluronan oligosaccharides
    The importance of the TOMM40 gene in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s Disease
