- Course objectives
- Mathematics II (KMMAT2) The course follows the course Mathematics I. The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the principal mathematical means necessary to formulate and solve some economic problems. The graduates should understand and be able to use basic terms and methods of differential calculus of single variable and more variables, integral calculus of functions with a single variable, including infinite integrals, progressions and series. They are also introducted to differential equations.
- Syllabus
- Progressions and series. Aritmetic and geometric progression. Limit of real progression. Infinite series. Function of single variable. Limit of real function. Derivatives. Composed and inverse function.
- Differential and Taylor's theorem. Extremes and inflex points. L'Hospital's rule. Characteristic of function. Integral calculus. Idefinite integral.
- Definite integral. Methods for the definite integral and applications. Infinite integral. Function of more variables. Grafic visualization.
- Limit and continuity. Partial derivatives. Total differential. Taylor's theorem. Extremes of functions of more variables. Multiple integral. Introduction to differential equations.
