At the end of this course students will be able to:
- make basic transformation of time series (stationarization - differentiation, filtration)
- distinguish various types of shocks in economy
- examine behaviour of variables during business cycle
- routinely use tools of quantitative analysis (e.g. ordinary least square method)
- interpret and evaluate restults of estimation of single-equation models
- compare empirical results with economic theory
- analyze behaviour of small macroeconomic model
- identify sources of economic growth
- understand behaviour of nominal exchange rate
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction into Matlab software
