Course objectives
This course is based on the belief that although analytic, quantitative and conceptual skills are essential for a manager to be successful, they do not produce effective managers without good human or interpersonal skills. The objective of this course is to introduce students to the aspects of interpersonal communication with which managers meet daily at their workplace, to offer theories of interpersonal communication and to focus on students personal skill development through experiential exercises, activities and case studies. COURSE EVALUATION: class attendance maximum 2 absences, individual presentation in front of the class (5 minutes long, plus or minus 30 seconds), videotaped, assignment: individual assessment essay 4-6 pages, assignment: written application of interpersonal communication theories 3-4 pages, exam: theory-based final examination
