- Course objectives
- This course gives information on development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) are an important part of modern market economy, stimulate competition on the market and create new jobs in regions. Students will become acquainted with SME development policy in the Czech Republic and in the European Union and with the role of these firms in regional development. Information about starting a new business is an important part of this course and students should be able to create a business plan which is often required by banks, venture capital firms or by implementing agencies of supporting programmes.
