Cíle předmětu
At the end of the course, students will be able to manage creatively the adaption and adoption of international developments and research, especially in Management and Business Economics (i.e., not just “copy and paste” but adapting and adopting by “grasping the principles” which will be applied in a new way based upon a proper knowledge of the organisational context). Thus, students will be able to fit and embed their new knowledge into the local situation and cultural circumstances and generate the appropriate organisational behaviour, especially in form of corrective decision making and acting. All that will be possible because of having developed a reflective in-depth understanding of Institutional Theory, Systems Science, Epistemology and Ecology within Organisational Studies. Furthermore, students will learn about a variety of modern instruments to be used in the practice of organizational knowledge development and knowledge management. Applying in practice, the acquired knowledge can lead to competitive advantages of a firm by selecting and enforcing the support of local expertise in problem solving and by sharpening the eye for identifying local chances for the development of creativity, flexibility and innovation.

Continuous preparation for lectures and workshops, active participation in group discussions and at workshop activities, written exam. Attendance in lectures and workshops is principally compulsory. Repeated absence without a proper excuse is considered as a failure to fulfil requirements for allowing students to take the exam. Any copying, keeping a record of tests or carrying the tests out, using forbidden aids including any communication devices or any other breach of objectivity of the exam is regarded as a failure to meet the obligations of the subject and as a serious breach of study regulations.
