- Course objectives
- Aims of the course are following:
- summarize integration processes and their development
- explain division of tasks between the EU and member states
- introduce organizational structure and role of individual institutions of the EU
- explain system of law and related legislative procedures within the EU institutional framework
- explain common and coordinated policies
- outline budgetary aspects of the EU
- deal with other topics and current trends like crossboarder cooperation, relationships between the EU and Czechia, relationships between the EU and other international organizations. - Learning outcomes
- By passing the course students will:
- understand the development and trends in EU integration
- be able to explain institutional structure of the EU and roles of its individual parts
- understand the EU law and its relationships to legislation of member states
- understand development and trends in common and coordinated policies
- be able to explain budgetary aspects of the EU and sources of the EU´s budget
- discuss current trends and issues of the EU and further integration. - Syllabus

- Evaluation will consider continual work of students (assessment of their seminar works and presentations) and results of the final exam.
