Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce and develop system thinking in students that they can use for better management of enterprise internal activities and processes (linked internally and to the external environment). According to the general theory of systems, an enterprise is viewed in this course as a multisystem and the knowledge of its each system is vital for understanding the company as the whole and its management.
Learning outcomes
At the end course, students should be able:
to define the basic concepts of systems science;
to understand a company as complex system;
to create models of complex systems and simulate them;
to to define terms related with business process management and project management; define terms related with quality and corporate performance management
to model and optimize business processes;
to understand information systems and their development, to critically evaluate their their benefits of IS for a company;
to create a project plan;

Assessment methods
Final grade consists:
from final exam;
from seminar work;
from testing;
Before taking the exam, students have to earn certain amount of points (more information in study materials).
The exam has a form of a test.
Any copying, recording or leaking tests, use of unauthorized tools, aids and communication devices, or other disruptions of objectivity of exams (credit tests) will be considered non-compliance with the conditions for course completion as well as a severe violation of the study rules. Consequently, the teacher will finish the exam (credit test) by awarding grade "F" in the Information System, and the Dean will initiate disciplinary proceedings that may result in study termination.
