Course objectives
The aim of course is to introduce integrated management systems and their classification. Quality Management Systems (ISO 9000), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14000), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 18000), Information Technology Service Management (ISO 20000), Iformation Security Management Systems (ISO 27000) and Software product Quality Requirements and Evaluation Management (ISO 25000) are presented. Base definitions and terminology are introduced including their implementation into Integrated Management System of company.
Syllabus
  • Introduction. History of the development of single management systems of organization. Integrated management system (IMS).
  • Introduction into management. Definition of management. Management functions. Goals of management. Communication. Deming schema.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS). Definition of QMS. Current standards of ISO 9000. Implementation of QMS.
  • Environmental Management System (EMS). Definition of EMS. Current standards of ISO 14000 and EMAS (Environmental Management and Audit Systems). Implementation of EMS a EMAS.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSAS). Definition of OHSAS. Current standards of OHSAS 18000 and ČSN OHSAS 18001. Implementation of OHSAS.
  • IT service management (ITSM). Definition of ITSM. Current standards of ISO 20000. Implementation of ITSM.
  • Software product Quality Requirements and Evaluation Management (SQuaRE). Definition of SQuaRE. Current standards of ISO 25000.
  • Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Definition of ISMS. Current standards of ISO 27000. Implementation of ISMS.
  • Implementation of IMS. Deming schema. Comparison of elements of subsystems QMS, EMS, OHSAS of IMS with ITSM and SQM. Combination of appropriately chosen management subsystems.
  • Implementation of IMS using basic risk management scheme. Statement of top management for continual improvement of IMS, its policy. Input evaluation. Continual improvement process: Plan; Do; Check and Act.
  • Information sources of IMS. Literature. Internet.
