- principles, models and applications of the redundancy;
- testing of digital systems;
- design structures for fault-tolerant systems;
- apply design procedures for easy-to-test circuits.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- quantify the reliability of electronic systems;
- compare the reliability of each type of backup method and its application;
- design tools of digital systems diagnostics;
- design tools and procedures for testing combinational and sequential circuit;
- find failures in digital circuits;
- design structures for fault-tolerant systems;
- apply design procedures for easy-to-test circuits.

Teaching methods
Lectures that correspond to intended aims of tuition.
Assessment methods
During the semester will be given a homeworks and two written tests, the results of which will be included in the final evaluation. Regarding the content of the course is recommended regular attendance at the course. Final examination consists of 3 parts:
1) evaluation of the homeworks and discussion about protocol;
2) evaluation of the writen tests;
3) oral exam - teoretical problems from list of the passed lectures.
